This section will go over how you can go about creating a backup of your Switch or restoring one. There are 2 methods to do this:
Boot into Hekate.
Navigate to the Tools
tab.
Tap on Backup eMMC
.
Tap on eMMC RAW GPP
.
Once done, select Backup eMMC
again but pick the eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1
option this time.
Once done, your backup should be in a folder named Backup
on the root of your microSD card.
Move this folder to your PC, laptop or any other storage device so you don’t lose it.
You have now successfully backed up your eMMC!
Take the Backup
folder you have stored safely somewhere and move it back to the root of your microSD card.
Move all files that are inside of /bootloader/
to /bootloader/restore/
.
Boot into Hekate.
Navigate to the Tools
tab.
Tap on Restore eMMC
.
Tap on eMMC RAW GPP
.
Once done, select Restore eMMC
again but pick the eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1
option this time.
Once done, close out of Hekate.
You have now successfully restored a backup!

Create a folder named Backup
somewhere on your PC or laptop and keep in mind where this is saved.
Extract NxNandManager_vx.x_x64.zip
to somewhere on your PC or laptop and keep in mind where this is saved.
Boot into Hekate and connect your Switch to your PC or laptop using an USB cable.
Navigate to the Tools
tab.
Tap on USB Tools
.
Tap on eMMC RAW GPP
.
Launch NxNandManager.
Navigate to the File
tab.
Choose the Open Drive
option.
Click on eMMC GPP Hekate
and select FULL DUMP
.
Select the Backup
folder you created earlier.
Once it says RAWNAND dumped & verified
, close the window and disconnect your Switch.
Still in Hekate, tap on Close
now to back out.
Tap on Backup eMMC
.
Tap on eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1
.
Finally, tap on Close
again to back out.
You have now successfully dumped your eMMC, you should now be able to find your dumps in the folder named Backup
you had created earlier and in the /backup/xxxxxxxx/
folder on your microSD card.
You can copy the /backup/xxxxxxxx/
folder on your microSD card to the Backup
folder that is stored on your PC or laptop to keep everything in 1 folder.
You have now successfully backed up your eMMC!

Connect your Switch to your PC or laptop and launch Hekate on your Switch.
Navigate to the Tools
tab.
Tap on USB Tools
.
Ensure that the Read-Only
option is set to OFF
.
Tap on eMMC RAW GPP
.
Launch NxNandManager.
Navigate to the File
tab.
Choose the Open Drive
option.
Choose the eMMC GPP Hekate
option.
Select FULL or PARTIAL RESTORE
.
Navigate to your Backup
folder and select RAWNAND.bin
from inside of it.
Pick Yes
when prompted.
Once done, you can disconnect your Switch from your PC or laptop.
Access your microSD card.
On your microSD card, copy /backup/xxxxxxxx
to /backup/xxxxxxxx/restore/
.
Launch into Hekate.
Navigate to the Tools
tab.
Tap on Restore eMMC
and tap on eMMC BOOT0 & BOOT1
.
Once done, close out of Hekate.
You have now successfully restored a backup!
